

ICWC had organized a concert to raise AED400,000 /- required to secure the release of 2 Indian workers
K.Kumar , ICWC’s Convenor said that the ICWC has already taken up the next set of deserving Diya money cases, which include three blue-collar workers employed by a pest control company. The three have been ordered to pay Dhs400, 000 for causing death of two children.

Background of Zila Khan
Zila Khan was born in Calcutta to pre-eminent sitar maestro Ustad Vilayat Khan and Begum Monisha. Her father empowered her to perform in a formal ceremony which he documented in his life documentary. She is the first woman to learn and perform music in the Imdadkhani Gharana. She performs with her vast range of musical forms, like qaul, qalbana, gul, and others. Her performances have the guiding presence of the gayaki tradition.
